My name's Taylor and I have a deep love and appreciation for ones' ability to use movement to attain so many different outcomes. I'm also a dance teacher, a lover of all things outdoors, adventure seeker, and a total Jurassic Park Fan. I am extremely passionate about continuous growth and learning. My ideal weekend? An outdoor adventure of any kind with the ones I love, adventuring and exploring this beautiful earth OR in the studio of course! 

I come from a dance background of 26 yrs with my training in focused RAD Ballet (Examined up to Advanced 2 Vocational), Jazz, Lyrical and Stretch.

With 12 years of dance instruction (to children, teens & adults) and choreography experience, I have spent countless hours working with all types of bodies, in various different levels of mobility & physical fitness. I made my transition into pilates after the birth of my son. (I have 2 boys now! and one baby on the way!)

My goal is to assist you on your journey through life, by using movement to create a strong core foundation that will support you on any adventures to come! I work with many different types of movers of different goals and ages. I have experience working with dancers, fire fighters, hockey players, golfers, gymnast, horseback riders (english and cutting). I also have experience working with people who have experienced joint replacements, recovering from a variety of injuries and surgeries.

Hi! My name is Laurel and I am so excited to start guiding you through your movement journey!

 

My love for pilates started when my sister in law, opened MNDFL and I began taking classes. I remember her telling me I would fall in love with pilates... and here I am, a year later, completing my Essential/ Intermediate Reformer course - so I guess she wasn’t wrong! 

 

Teaching is a passion of mine. I have my Bachelor of Eduction from the University of Alberta and have taught grade 2/3 since 2011. I also LOVE running (especially outdoors), great skincare and you want me on your team for F.R.I.E.N.D.S trivia night. I never arrive anywhere super early and chances are I will come with a Starbucks in hand. I married my husband, Luke, in 2015 and have since welcomed two beautiful babies into the world. After having our daughter, I transitioned to being a stay at home mom and have loved experiencing the world through my kid’s eyes. 

 

I believe it’s still important to continue to do things just for yourself and that’s where my passion of sharing my love of pilates with others comes in and I want to help YOU fall in love with pilates too!

I am a firm believer that we should never stop learning and moving. I am an avid runner and love to cycle.

At MNDFL we aim to get people moving on THEIR terms, through movement sessions that focus on building strength and stability. Each session combines movement in all planes. MNDFL movement session are great to pair weekly with some kind of cardiovascular exercise! This could be walking, running, aerobics or aqua fitness. They are also a great complement to a weight training program or any type of athletic training.
