STOTT Pilates Trained Instructor
Hello, I'm Laurel, and I'm thrilled to embark on this movement journey with you!
My passion for Pilates blossomed when my sister-in-law introduced me to the world of MNDFL and its classes. I vividly recall her predicting that I would fall head over heels for Pilates, and she was absolutely right! A year later, I completed my Essential/Intermediate Reformer course, cementing my love for this practice.
Teaching has long been a calling for me, and my educational background reflects this commitment. I hold a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and have been teaching grade 2/3 since 2011. But my passion extends beyond the classroom. I'm an ardent runner, especially in the great outdoors, and I'm also well-versed in the realm of skincare. If you're assembling a team for a "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" trivia night, count me in! Punctuality might not be my forte, but I'll likely arrive with Starbucks in hand. I married my husband, Luke, in 2015, and we've joyfully welcomed three beautiful children into our lives. Transitioning to a stay-at-home mom after the birth of our daughter has allowed me to experience the world anew through my children's eyes.
Despite the demands of motherhood, I firmly believe it's vital to nurture your own interests and passions. This conviction has led me to share my love for Pilates with others, with the aim of helping YOU discover your own affection for this transformative practice.
My qualifications include:
FOUNDATION
-
Functional Anatomy Certification from Merrithew (Leaders in Mindful Movement)
-
STOTT Pilates Essential & Intermediate Reformer Instructor
ANATOMY
-
Functional Anatomy Courses (2019)
CONTINUED EDUCATION
-
Evidence-Based Pilates Community Member (2023)
I'm a staunch advocate for lifelong learning and movement. Beyond Pilates, I'm an enthusiastic runner and avid cyclist.
I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome you to the reformer and guide you through your Pilates journey!
Warmly, LAUREL

At MNDFL, our goal is to empower individuals to embrace physical activity on their own terms, with movement sessions that prioritize the development of strength and stability free of fear and pain! Each session encompasses a diverse range of movements across various planes. MNDFL movement sessions pair exceptionally well with weekly cardiovascular exercises, such as walking, running, aerobics, or aqua fitness. Moreover, they serve as an excellent complement to weight training programs and various forms of athletic training.
